Okay, I'm connected! How do I access the program?
What if it's not working?
What if I have an acoustic piano?
- Using a Chrome browser, visit play.thepianoexpress.com.
- Allow the website to use your computer's camera.
- Show your QR code to the camera (that's the sticker on the front of your binder).
What if it's not working?
- If you're all plugged in but receiving a score of 0%, you are not properly connected.
- We've found that many connection issues can be resolved by closing and reopening Chrome, unplugging and replugging in a cable, or turning off and on your piano. Try one or two of these to see if this fixes the issue!
- If you're still experiencing issues, you can reach out to the Piano Express creators directly by emailing [email protected].
What if I have an acoustic piano?
- Although there isn't a way you can earn stars practicing on an acoustic piano, you can still play along with the recordings in the app! Navigate to the song you'd like to play, click on your initials in the top right corner, and turn Record Grades to "off."
- Turn your computer's volume up high and hit "play"!
- Your score will be 0% every time, but that's okay! After a week of practicing, come to your lesson ready to play with the program and earn your stars!
